 Module 1    INTRODUCTION TO AND COMMUNICATION ON THE INTERNET
Use this syllabus to access the course modules quizzes and assignments. If you are taking this course for credit, please be sure to carefully review additional instructions and deadlines provided by your instructor at your educational institution.

Module 1 will introduce you to basic Internet concepts and cover some widely used Internet communication tools.

Things To Do: 

  • Submit the Module 1 Assignment (10 points)
  • Read the entire module.
  • Complete all exercises.
  • QUIZ 1 (10 points)


 Module 2    BEGINNING YOUR RESEARCH
Module 2 presents an overview of the research process.

 Module 3    INFORMATION NAVIGATOR
Module 3 will introduce you to very important tools and techniques for finding information. Each student will complete a series of assignments and a research project. Your research for this course will be a list of resources, also called an annotated bibliography. You may review these sample assignments to help you understand what is expected. You do NOT have to write a paper for this course.

Things To Do: 



 Module 4    WEB TOOLS & TECHNIQUES
Module 4 will introduce you to Web Web tools and techniques for communicating and publishing. Tools such as Blogs, Wikis and Instant Messengers will be covered. Google has been working in very innovative ways to improve search techniques on the Internet and some of the more recent innovations will also be discussed.
